The MILO x FAM Ultimate Experience campaign sets the ball rolling for more than 100 aspiring young footballers.
Many may think scoring a goal or passing the ball is easy feat, but little do they know it takes years of hard work and perseverance to hone these skills. 116 aspiring players were selected as part of the MILO x FAM Ultimate Experience, to have a taste of professional football. These players displayed exemplary skills and characteristics, and were carefully selected through a joint collaboration between MILO and local community leagues.

As a strong advocator on the concept of sports being a great teacher, MILO genuinely believes that children can learn life lessons and hone their perseverance, tenacity, and determination to build character traits that are critical to succeed in life. This aspires the young generation to take on challenges that lies ahead of them with confidence through the values that they can learn from sports such as clear communication and teamwork.
Hence, the all-around exposure was aimed to stimulate and develop these children into future stars of the nation. As one of the nation with the world’s highest youth populations today, the empowerment of our nation relies heavily on these children. Football being the number one sport in the nation is a game that has been associated in every Malaysian’s heart, not just for Malaysians to stay active but also a sport that unites the nation from the grassroots level.

Ryan Khaliq from Velocity Football Academy who recently emerged victorious in the MILO Junior Champions League U-10 championship shared his gratitude to MILO for providing him with a once in a lifetime experience through the Ultimate Experience campaign.
The game opens up friendship from different social backgrounds while reflecting and reminding themselves the importance of national unity and the special role that football plays in bringing the nation together.
As such, MILO continues in its efforts to drive the importance of sports beyond just academic results for kids, it is also relevant to the young adults and mass Malaysians as sports value is something every Malaysian should embrace to succeed in their own means. For which MILO is playing a significant role in assisting to develop and empower young footballers for the nation. MILO has a long history with its allegiance with FAM (Football Association of Malaysia) in supporting the development of grassroot football.
Having nourished Malaysians for over 70 years with the goodness of MILO, MILO which is synonymous with its passionate involvement in grassroot sports, expressed their commitment to further stimulate the development of grassroot football players. MILO Malaysia’s Marketing Manager, Kerwin Lim commended on the joint-initiative between MILO and FAM in laying the foundation of this campaign.
He said, “MILO always believe that sports is a great teacher and these children can learn many useful values in football by experiencing the training programmes, drills and coaching techniques conducted by FAM. MILO and FAM share a common goal to empower and energise the young football talents to strive for success in the early stages of their life. As such, we are delighted to continue our initiatives with FAM in future campaigns.”

FAM’s Head of Grassroots cum Malaysia’s U-20 Women’s Head Coach, Cameron Ng expressed his gratitude for MILO’s continued support and their aspirations to develop grassroot football describing the relationship between the two as imperative for the local football scene.
Present at the MILO-FAM Ultimate Experience campaign, FAM’s Head of Grassroots cum Malaysia’s U-20 Women’s Head Coach, Cameron Ng said that he was impressed with the young footballer’s commitment, seriousness, and sportsmanship throughout the programme.
“The players appear to have high aptitude and I believe that they are on track with good footballing skills to prevail in the national team in the future” said Cameron Ng. He expressed his gratitude for MILO’s continued support and their aspirations to develop grassroot football describing the relationship between the two as imperative for the local football scene.
“We want to pave the future for children today whom we believe are the stars of tomorrow. But the future also depends on the coaches who will guide our children to achieve their full potential. We at the leadership level will always support MILO’s initiatives and as such, our partnership with MILO ensures that training for both children and coaches will go hand-in-hand to create this holistic ecosystem,” he added.

“I’m honoured to be in this programme conducted by MILO. It indeed inspires me to progress better in my footballing career and I believe that I can apply these valuables lessons in my game and achieve greater successes by playing for Harimau Malaya in the future” said the self-reliant Ryan.
The on-going MILO & FAM partnership aims to produce more than 100,000 talents and 5000 coaches into the FAM system. The MILO Hidup Bola Futsal carnival is among the notable initiatives taken by MILO over the years as the championship has produced many exciting national players, including Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat, Arif Aiman Hanapi, Azri Ghani and Shivan Pillay.
