National women’s team head coach, Muhammad Dharma Raj, said: “It was a stronger Diamond Team that played us today than on Monday. They put us into a lot of trouble with their high pressure. We lost quite a lot of ball possession from 16 yard hits.”
“We also won some balls in their own halves and managed to get one penalty corner and again it was Nuraini who has been consistently scoring,” said Dhaarma Raj.
He added that Diamonds Club earned two penalty corners and the Malaysians defended well. He also credited the brilliant performance from Nabihah who scored two field goals from fast counter attacks.
The Malaysian eves will take on Western Australia Institute of Sports (WAIS) on Friday, Diamond Club on 20 and 22 June and HEAT (Holistic Elite Athlete Training) on 23 June.
