DASHING LAUNCHES DASHING TALENT SCHOLARSHIP 2026 TO UNCOVER YOUNG FOOTBALL TALENT THROUGHOUT MALAYSIA

Kuala Lumpur, 10 September 2026 – DASHING, Malaysia's leading men's grooming brand, is proud to announce the return of the Dashing Talent Scholarship 2026, a youth football development initiative that aims to unearth, inspire and support a new generation of Malaysian football talent.

Following the success of last year's campaign, which saw three young Malaysian players receive exclusive training with Tottenham Hotspur in the United Kingdom after going through a comprehensive selection process and Talent Identification Camp, the Dashing Talent Scholarship 2026 is now being expanded to Terengganu and Melaka. This move demonstrates DASHING's commitment to expanding access to football talent development and empowerment opportunities beyond the Klang Valley, ensuring that more young Malaysians have the opportunity to pursue their dreams at a higher level.

This year, young Malaysian footballers aged 15 to 16 are once again invited to showcase their skills through an online video submission process. Participants are required to upload a football video to Instagram or TikTok, tag the @biasiswabakatdashing account, and complete the official application form on the Dashing Talent Scholarship website with their player information and video link.

Entries are open from 15 August to 12 September 2026. Shortlisted players will then be invited to attend one of two regional Talent Identification Camps: in Terengganu on Friday, 25 September 2026, or in Melaka on Sunday, 27 September 2026. Each camp runs from 8.00am to 12.00 noon for up to 100 shortlisted players aged 15 to 16.

Conducted by Tottenham Hotspur's Global Football Development Coach, Ose Aibangbee, together with 10 experienced local Malaysian coaches, the camps will put participants through a series of structured technical assessments, small group games and match evaluations.

The player assessment will cover technical ability, game intelligence, mentality, physical fitness and overall potential as an athlete. In addition to identifying outstanding football talent, the programme is designed to give young players the opportunity to develop in a high-performance environment, challenge themselves and gain valuable experience and guidance from professional coaches.

The campaign is also supported by the DASHING Buy & Donate initiative, which encourages Malaysians to support the programme through the purchase of campaign-related products while contributing to the development of young football talent.

For Football Talent Asia, which will handle the football operations and Talent Identification component of the programme, expanding the campaign beyond the Klang Valley is an important step in opening up wider access to development opportunities for young footballers across the country.

It was a dream come true for last year's three winners when they travelled to the United Kingdom in January to train with Tottenham Hotspur and experience the atmosphere of professional football first-hand as part of their Dashing Talent Scholarship prize.

Their development since also demonstrates the programme's potential impact. After participating in the Dashing Talent Scholarship 2025, all three winners secured youth player contracts with Malaysia Super League clubs at various age levels, marking the next important step in their football journeys.

For Dazzel Emil Haziq bin Mohamed Tazwid, a loyal Tottenham Hotspur supporter, the trip was very special. "The Dashing Talent Scholarship gave me a platform to test myself against some of the best young players in Malaysia. The camp was very intensive, competitive and professional. As a long-time Tottenham supporter, the opportunity to travel to London and train at the club's training centre was something I will never forget. The experience also showed me the level I needed to reach and motivated me to continue improving my game."

"This programme shows that young Malaysian players can get a chance if they dare to come forward and compete. Starting from submitting videos, joining the camp and finally going to the UK, each stage challenged me and increased my confidence as a player. I really encourage this year's players to take this opportunity seriously and give it their all," said fellow 2025 winner Muhammad Iqqbal Haiekal bin Shahril Nizam.

The camp tested us technically, physically and mentally, while the trip to the UK gave us the opportunity to hone our skills at a world-class football club. More than that, this programme taught me that opportunities like this can open our eyes to what is possible if we keep working hard," added Muhammad Dzakwan bin Zulkepli, also a 2025 winner.

At the end of this year's Talent Identification Camps, two outstanding players will be selected for a week-long football training experience with Tottenham Hotspur in the United Kingdom.
