Christopher Raj, Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning agency, ShekhinahPR has been conferred the prestigious Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (D.I.M.P.) – the second-highest class of the Most Illustrious Order of the Crown of Pahang – which carries the honorary title Dato’. The award was presented in conjunction with the 66th birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, today.
This honor recognizes Christopher’s outstanding contributions to media, communications, event management, and sports administration.
Under Christopher’s leadership, ShekhinahPR, a public relations and strategic communications agency has earned multiple prestigious international accolades, underscoring its growing reputation on the global stage.
His excellence has also earned him key roles with FIFA and AFC as a media consultant, proudly representing Malaysia in various international tournaments. He served as a Media Officer at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and was again selected for the 2022 edition in Qatar, playing a vital role that extended to the tournament’s grand finale.
He also held significant roles at the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017, the FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia 2023 final, and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup final in Qatar. Since 2019, Christopher has been an active member of the AFC Media Committee, a position he held till June 2025.
These roles are a testament to his versatility and expertise in managing complex media operations across different environments and high-stakes tournaments worldwide.
Christopher’s impressive portfolio also includes managing media operations at the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015, AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019, the CONCACAF Gold Cup USA 2019, and multiple editions of the AFC Champions League (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024).
