Kuala Lumpur (16 January, 2017): Public relations agency, Shekhinah PR, to their credit, is continuously gaining the trust and confidence of various sports clubs and societies based in the country.
And of late, Shekhinah PR has opted to become a sponsor of Melaka United Football Club (MUFC) who will be involved in the the Malaysian League this season.
Part of the sponsorship agreement includes Shekhinah PR being responsible for the management of the club’s newly launched website, www.melakaunited.my which will be the main platform in providing the latest news and what’s happening at MUFC to the public.
Datuk Wira Yusoff Mahadi, vice-president of MUFC, is confident that Shekhinah PR has the expertise and experience to manage the various issues and formalities which will further help promote the club.
“I have absolute confidence that Shekhinah PR and Melaka United will be able to work hand-in-hand as the club progresses and handle the marketing side of MUFC,” said Yusoff Mahadi.
“We know that good relations with the media is vital for any football club to survive. Therefore, I hope that through Shekhinah PR’s sponsorship, the image of Malacca United will get a boost and be marketed as a top club. This is vital for any football club.”
This is especially important with the league heading towards privatisation, so proper marketing is obviously essential. To date, any decision taken by MUFC has always been to ensure that the club is always at the forefront of any marketing plan.
With the sealing of this sponsorship contract, which is estimated to be in the region of RM215,000, Shekhinah PR will not only be funding the club’s new website but also offer advice regarding relations with the media and other matters for a period of three years starting immediately.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shekhinah PR, Christopher Raj has given his assurance that his company is committed to assisting Melaka United FC at all levels.
“I am truly thankful that Melaka United has put their trust and confidence in us. My staff and I will strive to be continuously committed to the club,” said Christopher.
“We have been involved with sports in some form or other for quite some time now. I hope that the experience we have gained from previous dealings with other sports clubs and societies will help us put Melaka United FC on a better footing. As was mentioned earlier, relations with the media is vital so we hope to play a major role in this department,” added Christopher, who is also the national sports analyst.
